Full Call for Papers (text)

CLIHC 05 invites the HCI community from academia and industry to submit work in all categories of participation for publication and presentation at CLICH2005. Full papers are the main category to disseminate complete research results. CLIHC follows the usual international academic standards to evaluate and disseminate full papers.

Important Dates:

English-Writing Mentoring Deadline February 4th, 2005
Submission Deadline: May 3rd, 2005
Acceptance Notification: July 2nd, 2005
Camera-ready Deadline: New! July 15th, 2005

Intructions for Camera-ready submision of Full Papers:

Submissions must be formatted according to the conference guidelines, and emailed to in PDF and Word format. Contact us if your paper is in another word processing format.

When you are ready to send us your submission, please do so by emailing us your Word and PDF files to . Make sure you have addressed all comments from your reviewers and that your full name, email and affiliation is shown in the paper. Please send your files no later than July 15th, 2005

Submission of Full Papers:

Full papers are the main category to present original research results, design cases and practical experiences.

A full paper may have up to 12 pages long, including references, appendices and figures.

To guarantee a blind-review process all contributions must be sent without author's names and affiliations. Any possible indication in the text that allows the identification of authors must be removed (e.g. references to author's work).

Submissions must be formatted according to the conference guidelines, and sent electronically as PDF documents to .

Papers submissions should be written in English, Portuguese or Spanish. Papers presentations at the conference are expected to be given in English. However, if there are authors who wish to present in Spanish or Portuguese, please us as soon as possible in order to arrange simultaneous translation to English during the conference.

Submission process and format

We are using the ACM formatting style that has been used in other conferences. Use the templates and replace the content with your own to help you follow the formatting rules. Styles are used to make it easy to adhere to the format. Please makre sure you follow exactly the instructions presented in the file.

When you are ready to send us your submission, please do so by sending an email to (submit a PDF version of your document - don't forget to remove author)

Review Process
A blind-review process will be carried out by a team of experienced reviewers in order to decide on acceptance. Paper submissions will be reviewed by at least 3 HCI researchers and practitioners who have been screened for appropriate experience.

These reviews will be managed by the program co-chairs who will write a recommendation for acceptance or rejection based on the reviews received. In cases where a paper has received widely divergent reviews, it will be read by an expert meta-reviewer and discussed by program co-chairs before the final decision is made.
